Really nothing but shits! This is Chinese soccer team.

Really nothing but shits! This is Chinese soccer team. Last night, they still failed to gain the victory end of the match which is most possible to be won. The opponent is the soccer team from New Zealand, a not very good team, being thought to be the weakest team in the group. Chinese soccer team even nearly lost the game. The first goal was got by New Zealand, which I think it would not be accepted by all of Chinese people. Then a New Zealand soccer player was punished to get out, but still Chinese team had few chances to get a goal. The match was ended with a draw. They finally fail to obtain the three points, so now they have little hope to enter the next round of the game. Because the next opponents are Brazil and Belgium, which both are better than Chinese team.
Of all the sports, I like soccer best, but Chinese soccer always disappoint me even from the beginning. I also still remember the first international soccer match between China an Iran, which I focused. Chinese players did well in the first period, the point was 2 to 0. But in the second period, Iran team overpassed Chinese team, which made me feint. It is not acceptable. Iran team even got two goals during the last 3 minutes.
Maybe there’s something can enhance my emotion. That is in 2001, the Japan-Korea world cup preliminary match. In world cup, however, this emotion was ice-felt.
Of course there are reasons for the current condition of Chinese soccer. The matters of management system, training methods, coaches etc are involved. Here I want to say, Chinese soccer administration must focus on the soccer playing for the teenagers and the young people, especially middle school students. So they must build soccer playgrounds as many as possible. In my county, for example, there are few soccer playgrounds. When we want to play, we find no place. From the table tennis, we can see that Chinese is the best in the world because one of the most important reasons is that there are ping-pang table in every school.

Eurocup 2008
2008/06/25,03:29
Hello and welcome back. How have you been? We’ve been having some sunny days in London recently and I’ve got my fingers crossed for more!
Eurocup 2008 is catching on like wild fire throughout Europe and I believe to the rest of the world. With Italy leaving the tournament after a 4 – 2 loss in penalty again Spain last night, the four teams who will be playing in the semi-finals are Germany, Turkey, Spain and Russia.
Germany will play against Turkey on Wednesday and followed by the match between Spain and Russia on Thursday. The winners of the two games will be playing in Vienna, the capital of Austria this Sunday.
I support England in any of the international matches, but as I’m sure you are all aware that England failed to qualify this year’s Eurocup, I’ve been supporting Germany.
I have to say I didn’t fall in love with Germany till the last World Cup in 2006, but ever since then I’ve been following them. I describe Germany’s style as clean – what I mean by clean is that when you watch Germany plays, there is never much pushing around or kicking someone on the leg, they appear to be players that just mind their own business.
I think it’s also a big disadvantage for Germany, they just don’t seem active enough when it comes to defence. I wish they could run a bit faster and be a bit more active. Having said all these, what do I know about football? Germany has won the World Cup three times and yet again they are fighting their way through to the finals of this year’s Eurocup.
A real football fan is my colleague Diarmuid who supports Spain and wants to see Spain in the final. I, of course want to see Germany in the final beating whoever they’ll face! I’m looking forward to it.
Which team do you think will be in the final?
Have a good beginning of the week and more soon.
Best wishes,
Feifei

Yonghegong (The Lama Temple)
2008/04/21,03:25
Yonghegong (The Lama Temple) is a famous lamasery located in the northeastern part of the old city of Beijing. It was a palatial residence built in 1694 by Qing Emperor Kangxi for his fourth son, Prince Yongzheng who later succeeded to the throne. This magnificent temple consists of five main buildings lying on the?north-south axis, with annex halls standing on both sides. The temple is listed by the Chinese Government as one of the important historical monuments under special preservation. After the death of his father, Emperor Yongzheng moved to the Forbidden City. The compound was closed to ordinary people and was renamed yonghegong (the Palace of Harmony). Green roof tiles were replaced by yellow ones to suit a monarch's home. In 1744 his successor Emperor Qianlong converted the palace into a lamasery.
Several renovations?have been carried out since 1949.The temple has taken on a new look and was reopened to the public in 1981.It is now not only a functional lama temple, but also a tourist attraction.
Of interest to visitors in the Lama Temple are the 18-metre-high Maitreya statue engraved from a 26-metre-long white sandal-wood log, "the Five hundred Arhats Hill" made of gold, silver, copper, iron and tin, and the niche carved out of nanmu (this kind of Phoebe nanmu can give off a unusual scent reputed to repel mosquitoes in summer). These three objects are accredited as the three matchless masterpieces in the Lama Temple.

The World of Tomorrow
ON Jan. 1, 1908 — New Year's Day one century ago — The New York World greeted readers with a stirring rumination about the past and future of America. The title of the article was simply"1808 — 1908 — 2008."The World began by marveling at how far America had come since 1808, then turned to the question of the future: "What will the year 2008 bring us? What marvels of development await the youth of tomorrow?"
The essay's visions were not timid. "We may have gyroscopic trains as broad as houses swinging at 200 miles an hour up steep grades and around dizzying curves,"the newspaper went on. "We may have aeroplanes winging the once inconquerable air. The tides that ebb and flow to waste may take the place of our spent coal and flash their strength by wire to every point of need. Who can say?"
Predictions about the future were a staple of New York journalism in the early 20th century. wow gold
Newspapers, including this one, frequently solicited prominent citizens for their thoughts on the future of the world, of America and, most urgent, of New York.
The city was vaulting into the 20th century with a haste that almost demanded prediction-making. As the population grew by 130,000 a year, New York's infrastructure exploded.

It's all one big, entertaining mess at the Killing Kompany's murder mystery dinner theater — just one of many ways to celebrate tomorrow night on Long Island.
The 14-year-old dinner theater troupe makes up a new story for every performance, said Jon Avner, one of the actors. Players mingle in character with diners at Paparazzi Trattoria and Bar in Westbury. The drama should wrap up neatly by midnight, with prizes going to the smartest sleuths. An hour of dancing will follow, courtesy of an actor who also happens to be a D.J., Mr. Avner said.
If the future is written in the stars, you might find them on New Year's Eve at the Custer Institute in Southold, the oldest public observatory on Long Island. "Under the Stars"will be a laid-back event with jazz by Ahmad Ali and Friends and a homemade buffet prepared by Custer's members and friends.
Bush Voices Optimism on Eve of Talks

President Bush met with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of Israel at the White House. By DAVID STOUT
Published: November 26, 2007
WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 — President Bush today welcomed key participants in the Middle East conference that is getting under way in Annapolis, Md., with an acknowledgment that the United States cannot force peace on the region. The United States cannot impose our vision, but we can help facilitate, the president said in the Oval Office before meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president. “And the process will begin tonight at the State Department, and then on to Annapolis tomorrow.
Mr. Abbas, through an interpreter, seemed to see the conference as a stepping stone, at best, rather than as a venue likely to produce an historic breakthrough. “We have a great deal of hope that this conference will produce permanent status negotiations, expanded negotiations over all permanent status issues, that would lead to a comprehensive, to a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian people, an agreement to secure security and stability,” Mr. Abbas said. A couple hours earlier, President Bush welcomed the Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, to the Oval Office. While Mr. Bush expressed the hope that the Annapolis session would bear fruit, Mr. Olmert seemed less optimistic.
“Thanks for coming to the Annapolis Conference,” Mr. Bush told the prime minister before their private meeting. “I’m looking forward to continuing our serious dialogue with you and the president of the Palestinian Authority to see whether or nor peace is possible. I’m optimistic, I know you’re optimistic, and I want to thank you for your courage and your friendship.
But Mr. Olmert did not grasp the opportunity to confirm the optimism that President Bush said he was sure the prime minister was feeling, although he did said he was “delighted” to be in the Oval Office.
“This time it’s different,” Mr. Olmert said, “because we are going to have lots of participants in what I hope will launch a serious process of negotiations between us and the Palestinians. This will be a bilateral process, but international support is very important for us.
The prime minister went on to say that he hoped the Annapolis conference would produce “something that will be very good and create a great hope for our peoples.
The president and prime minister seemed comfortable with each other on a personal level, but Mr. Olmert’s somewhat elliptical remarks may have reflected a feeling among Israeli officials, voiced privately this morning, that the Annapolis session is unlikely to produce a major, lasting breakthrough.
Instead, the session in Annapolis, an hour’s drive from Washington, was viewed as a starting point — another starting point for those who have followed fitful, sometimes futile efforts over the decades to achieve a lasting stability in the Middle East.
White House officials said Mr. Bush’s schedulers took care to see that Mr. Abbas got the same amount of time in the Oval Office as Mr. Olmert.
The stakes for Mr. Abbas are considerable. If he should leave Annapolis in what appears to be a weakened posture, the Islamic militant group Hamas would probably try to fill the power vacuum, as a spokesman for the group signaled on Sunday.
“Any results from Annapolis will not be recognized by the Palestinian people,” said the spokesman, Mushir al-Masri. “No one is delegated to give up our basic rights. We are ready to offer blood to defend them.
The “lots of participants” whom Mr. Olmert mentioned include several dozen diplomats, each of whom may speak in public when the conference gets under way. But the important decisions — or the attempts to reach them — were in the hands of a much smaller cadre who were to meet privately.
Mr. Bush is scheduled to make remarks this evening at a State Department dinner bringing together all the participants. On Tuesday morning, he is to deliver a speech formally opening the conference. Presidential aides were working on the text of that address today, and billing it as an expression of Mr. Bush’s determination to work for a Mideast peace for the rest of his term.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has made several trips to the Middle East in recent months in an attempt to produce a joint statement of objectives from Mr. Olmert and Mr. Abbas. That goal remains elusive.
Mr. Bush has said repeatedly that he envisions a free, secure Palestinian state living in peace with a free, secure Israel. If that vision remains a mirage for Mr. Bush’s remaining 14 months in office, he can console himself with the knowledge that his predecessors in the White House were also unable to see lasting peace in the Middle East.

The long journeys
2007/07/05,00:12
WOW Gold / wow gold / 阳朔 Animals will make extraordinary and often mysterious expeditions to find a good meal, sexy mates, and the perfect place to raise a family. This month, billions of cicadas will burst out from their 17-year-old hiding places to complete one of the longer journeys in time, while moving only a few inches from burrow to daylight. Other migrations cover thousands of miles.
1、Cicadas
Billions of chubby, buzzing cicadas will surface from their underground bunkers this month to gather together, sing, and mate. The insects will have spent 17 years fattening up underground, growing through five stages of development. Their synchronized appearance overwhelms predators, leaving most of the reveling cicadas carefree to party for their five weeks of adult life.
2、Lemmings
In the Arctic tundra, over-population and a scarcity of food sends lemmings on mass migrations at high speeds. Researchers clocked one trek of the petite mammals at almost 10 miles a day. For the weak, the pace of the journey is just too much and they are left behind to die.
3、Wildebeests
Greener pastures drive 1.5 million of these herbivores in circles. Serengeti wildebeest travel more than a thousand miles in spectacularly huge herds, along with thousands of zebra and gazelle, to avoid the dry seasons in Tanzania and Kenya.
4、Green turtle
Motherly instinct compels female green turtles to return to their birthplace to start their own families. The pregnant turtles swim more than a thousand miles from their coastal feeding grounds in Brazil into the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean to Ascension Island. On the tiny nursery's sandy beach, the expectant mothers carve out nests and lay their eggs before heading back home.
5、Salmon
After spending years swimming in the ocean, salmon follow their noses and return to the freshwater streams they were born in to spawn and eventually die. They'll swim upstream against strong currents for hundreds of miles to make the perfect homecoming, even if it means arriving in shoddy condition.
6、Ruby-throated hummingbird
Before its 500-mile trip to Central America, the ruby-throated hummingbird bulks up on nectar, insects, and tree sap. The tiny bird gains 2 grams of fat, almost doubling its weight, to make the nonstop flight from eastern North America across the Gulf of Mexico.
7、Monarch butterfly
Migrating long distances is in a monarch's blood. Each fall, thousands of butterflies head west in California and Mexico. They summer 3,000 miles away, throughout the United States and Canada. But how they know when and where to go continues to puzzle scientists.
8、Whooping cranes
Recovery efforts of the whooping crane have included flight lessons for the endangered snowbirds. Ultralight aircraft and radio-controlled robots disguised as cranes have lead hand-reared birds south to winter in protected areas.
9、Freshwater Eels
Freshwater eels are born prepared for the rough waters they face in life. After hatching in the salty Sargasso Sea, the eels swim to freshwater rivers in the United Kingdom and the East Coast of North America. On the way, their kidneys adapt to the change in salinity. When it's time to lay eggs, the eels and their kidneys will return to their beginnings.
10、Humpback Whales
Humpback whales hold the world's record for longest mammalian voyage. One population spends the warmer months eating a literal ton of food a day in waters off the Arctic Peninsula. Come wintertime, they swim 5,000 miles away to balmy breeding grounds near Columbia and the Equator.
Sing out Loud When Feel Like Singing
2007/04/30,04:34
Push open the window at night to say my wishes to the shooting star.
I want a pair of wings to stay closer to the sun.
I am learning to grow up on my own, love being my energy, and dreams magic nourishment to speed me up into full bloom.
Sing out loud when feel like singing.
Even if no applause shall greet me,
I can still enjoy my courage.
Sing a nice song when feel like singing, No matter how empty the stage looks, it will someday brim with waving glow sticks.
